The Artist’s Style and the Handwriting of the Psyche
Presented by
Shirley Eisman, BFA, MFA
Art History reveals, regardless of time and culture, that the hand or style of the artist is inner directed. A statement is made through the hand, the eye and the inner eye as well as the choice of compositional elements. In viewing a work of art, consciousness of the process enriches the experience. Together, we will compare and contrast these elements in the artists’ life and work.
Shirley Eisman, BFA, MFA, Professor Emeritus, is a painter, printmaker, and a Resident Scholar at the C.G. Jung Study Center Of Southern California. Her art has been exhibited in Los Angeles, San Francisco and New York. The winner of juried prizes, her work is held in private collections in both the United States and Europe.
