SUMMARY:Encounter with the Unknown: The Way of the Transcendent Function
DESCRIPTION:\nThis presentation will delve into the Jungian concept of the 
 transcendent function and the changes that archetypal images and the ego u
 ndergo during the emergence of the transcendent function.&nbsp\; We will d
 iscover how active imagination along with the transcendent function can be
  used in clinical practice to help clients seeking transformation.\n\n\n\n
 The concept of the transcendent function will be further demonstrated thro
 ugh ancient Chinese healing practices and the developmental paths of Taiwa
 n's aboriginal shamans. This exploration has not only brought Dr. Sawa a d
 eeper understanding of her own culture\, but it has also helped her realiz
 e that\, although the outward ways of the lineage have been lost in the cu
 rrents of time\, the spirit of the lineage has always had a place in the p
 syche and waits for the opportunity to manifest itself in consciousness.\n
 \n\n\nSawa Ciwas is a Taiwanese Indigenous Atayal weaver\, artist\, and Ju
 ngian analyst (IAAP) based in Kaohsiung\, Taiwan. Her work often centers o
 n nature\, spiritual journeys\, and indigenous identity.\n\n\n\nShe also h
 as experience as a Vision Quest Protector and as a practitioner of Helling
 er’s Family Constellation therapy\, which focuses on transgenerational t
 rauma and the hidden dynamics within the family system.\n\n\n\n “Before
