DESCRIPTION:Exploring our Unlived Life Through Dreamwork\nPresented by\nShe
 rri Mahdavi\, PhD\nSunday\, March 14\, 2021\, 4:00 - 6:00 pm PDT\nDaylight
Savings Time starts March 14\;\nturn clocks one hour ahead.\nIn each of u
s is another whom we do not know. He speaks to us in dreams and tells us h
ow differently he sees us from the way we see ourselves. – C.G.Jung\nTh
e unexamined life is surely worth living\, but is the unlived life worth e
xamining? – Adam Phillips\nJung viewed the dream as a continuous form o
f communication from the unconscious Self to the conscious ego. In this l
ecture\, we will discuss how the awareness of our dreams and their symboli
c content can connect us to our unlived life\, the life we have not yet ex
perienced. Drawing from case material we will examine different approache
s to analyzing dreams\, including working with the dream material through
active imagination.\nLearning objectives: \nGive examples of how a dre
am can reflect an unconscious conflict.\nDescribe how the method of active
imagination can be applied to dream work.\nExplain what is meant by the c
oncept of the shadow and give examples of how it can manifest in a dream.\
nGive examples of how images in dreams can connect us to our unlived life.
