 PM\, June 3rd\, 2012\n   \nThe Self archetype has been imaged\, storied an
 d lived by the Hindus in an unbroken tradition of more than 4 millennia. A
 s such\, the Hindu tradition offers a rich source for exploring the Self a
 nd ego-Self dynamics.\nThe lecture will elucidate Hindu images and myths f
 rom a depth psychological perspective. It will also explore Hindu yoga pra
 ctices in terms of cultivation of ego-Self relations\, those being bhakti 
 (divine love)\, jnana (self-study)\, dhyana (meditation)\, and karma (self
 less service).\nHinduism is known as a “way of life” rather than a bel
 ief system. We will also explore dharma\, the central tenet of Hinduism\, 
 in terms of conscious living.\nMala Setty\, MA\, grew up southern India\, 
 deep in the Hindu tradition. Her insights into Hindu myths are informed by
  the Vedanta tradition. She earned an MA in Mythology from Pacifica Gradua
 te Institute along with a BS and MS in Computer Science from California St
 ate University\, Fullerton. Her passion lies in connecting the dots betwee
 n Hindu mythology and Depth Psychology.
