  Individual Psyche:\nArt and Poetry - The Vision and the Word\nPresented b
 y\nBarbara Blatt and Diana LaCom\nlink to audio file\nThis event will illu
 strate how two women explore their singular visions with both art material
 s and words. Diana and Barbara\, both painters and poets\, will share and 
 discuss how these two very different means of expression feed the creative
  process. There will be readings from their collections of poems. An exhib
 it of their artwork will be on display.\nBarbara Blatt is an artist and po
 et. A contributor to the recent publication of Dictionary of Symbols(ARAS)
 \, she continues to be a featured reader in many southland poetry venues. 
 She is an exhibiting artist represented by Gallery 825. Her book featuring
  her poetry and art will be published soon.\nDiana LaCom received her art 
 training at Chouinard Art Institute. An artist for over 50 years\, her wor
 k is centered on images of the feminine in nature. Her poetry evolved from
  her journal writing. She has exhibited widely and her work is in many pri
 vate and public collections. Her teaching experience is now limited to wor
 king with adults in her studio\, facilitating their creative imagination u
 sing art materials.
