In analysis, a great deal of time can be spent exploring one’s relationship to a personal mother. Often unconsciously, it is a difficult mother relationship which leads us into analysis. This talk will explore the archetypal aspects of the mother, the roots of fate, and the ultimate driving force which can move us towards healing and transformation.
Also explored will be how an archetype influences a personal experience of mother and how a difficult and painful mother situation can become an instrument for healing.
Katharine Bainbridge, MA, is a Jungian Analyst with a private practice in Encino. She is a long time Buddhist and practitioner of Dzogchen. She recently traveled to sacred sites of the feminine in both Tibet and Nepal. She has a special interest in all things feminine.
