Presented by

March 10, 2000
The labyrinth, an archetype of wholeness, has been found in almost every religious tradition in the world, and has been present in the human race for over 4000 years. At this special event attendees will be given the opportunity to walk on the labyrinth pattern which originated in the Cathedral at Chartres and will hear about some of the myths, stories and healing traditions that have been associated with the labyrinth. The experience and setting will be a quiet and meditative one. There will also be time to discuss the experience of circumambulating this mysterious and powerful path.
” Solivitur ambulat ~ It is solved by walking.” St. Augustine
“Labyrinths are usually in the form of a circle with a meandering but purposeful path, from the edge to the center and back out again, large enough to be walked into. Each has only one path, and once one makes the choice to enter it the path becomes a metaphor for our journey through life, sending us to the center of the labyrinth and then back out to the edge on the same path.” ~LaurenArtress
